Search not working

I've had a number of users advise that their search field isn't working.

It's sporadic, doesn't seem to be related to the browser, and isn't affecting every user.

Any ideas?

Hello Kathryn, I am not sure if this will fix the issue since it is not affecting every users. But, did you try Rebuilding the seach Indexes through the Application (you need confluence admin priviliges to rebuild the indexes). 

To rebuild the search index:

As confluence admin settings --> General Configuration --> Content Indexing -->Choose the Rebuild button in either the 'Search Index' section.
(If the indexes have never been built, its button will indicate 'Build' instead of 'Rebuild.)

If that didn't fix the problem, the the next step might be to remove the index and rebuild it from scratch

Hi,
Not sure I can help but I've recently created a new account for my project and am encountering this indexing issue. When I try to search for keywords like 'kpc_media' where I have an underscore, the search fails completely.

I hope you will address this. Currently, the only thing that works for me is the Okami chatGPT app, where you can query anything you want, and it handles symbols such as underscores and dashes. However, as I understand from the developers of this amazing extension, it still relies on Confluence indexing. I hope this issue will be resolved soon.
