I am building a Knowledge Base for our team and when you search, you can see where the word appears on the page (if using advanced search), however I want the team to click on that search and it take them to that area of the page.
All I'm getting is the search taking them to the Page itself then they have to scroll through to find what they're looking for.
I'm new to Confluence so I could be missing something.
Tips/Tricks please.
This isn't possible in Confluence, and as a cloud application, the way content is displayed is controlled in part by the browser being used to display the content. You also need to understand that Confluence is not a fully blown CMS. It is a simple tool that does some things well, but not others.
I'd also question why you'd want to do this. The context of the content is also important. For example, the page title, introduction, etc.
As someone from a Technical Writing background, I'd be happy to help you get to where you want. Maybe Confluence isn't the tool you require, but I'd need to know more about your requirements.
Thanks Colum. The company have decided Confluence is their tool for the KB so that's the direction I have to follow. I was hoping someone could be directed to the part of the page where the word is included, but doesn't seem so.
Cloud certainly has some limitations also, so we'll work around them.
