Settings for Children Display Macro

Hi guys, Children Display Macro does not work correctly, it does not display Excerpt Macro for child pages regardless of the settings in Include Excerpts (excerpt). The Macros description states: Note that your administrator may have seen this parameter to none for the whole site. But I can't find these settings anywhere. If you know anything about it, let me know. Thank you in advance

the Content by Label Macro has a similar function - displaying excerpts from the pages with the same label. Can you give that a try? (Add a label to a couple of pages if they don't have any.)

If the output of that macro doesn't show excerpts either: What's the content in the excerpts? Plain text or sth else?

We have version 7.18.3 and we have the content in the excerpt macro on each of the child pages. There are no problems with a similar page on the test stand.
