We are interested in purchasing the add-on Gliffy. But we don't need as many licenses for it as for Confluence. Only a small number of users will use the add-on.
Can we buy the add-on with less licenses than we have for Confluence?
And how will this work?
We have two key requirements: Confluence/JIRA integration and MS Visio import. Is MS Visio import supported by Creately? Diagramly?
Creately can do Visio import and is for Confluence and Jira. Diagramly is only for Confluence right now but it can imort .vdx files. You might want to get a trial and test how well the Visio fles import. I've had some that have been a bit wonky.

Creately, will let you have a different license than your Confluence license. Another option to look at is Diagramly ... which is free and really good.

Hi Katy,
It seems it is not a problem so I expect I will be placing an order soon for 500 users. Of course first we will use the trial edition but Gliffy looks great so...
Thanks,
Onno

Hi Onno,
Gliffy moved to the Atlassian Marketplace July 2013, so Gliffy must follow Atlassian's policy that the license level you have in Confluence must match the Gliffy license level. Unfortunately that means that you cannot purchase a lower level than the one you have in Confluence. We speak more about this here: http://support.gliffy.com/entries/266090-Confluence-Plugin-Allow-Gliffy-license-to-check-user-groups-other-than-confluence-users
