I want to use the status macro to mark up release notes as "Live" and "Coming Soon". Is it possible to use the status macro as a filter or something of the like?
Hello Amichai,
Status Macro is only a "manual" macro where you set a status text.
The only difference to text is a colored lozenge (rounded box).
If you want automatic created release notes:
You can use the Jira Issues Macro to get
- all issues who are done and have a fix version (= Live)
- or all issues who are done and have not a fix version (= Coming soon)
Usually we have an active release (with finished issues) and a future release (fix version is set but issue is not done).
Here is a Step-by-Step Guide to Version Management in Jira | Atlassian
Regards
Tobias

Hi @Amichai Klipstein ,
If you organize your content in a way that you keep all your data regarding your releases in a tabular form (a table with statuses, I mean), then you will be able to use our Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app and its Table Filter macro to filter your table.
Our app recognizes statuses (as well as emoticons), so your table will be easily filtered to show only relevant data.
If you are not familiar with the app, please book a call with the team - we'll show the use case live.

Hey @Amichai Klipstein, I know this post is a bit old but figured I’d chime in for anyone else stumbling across it like I just did.
The native status macro is great for visual cues, but yeah it’s not really filterable out of the box, which can be limiting for stuff like release notes where you'd want to pull together pages marked “Live” or “Coming Soon”.
One workaround I’ve seen is pairing the status macro with actual page labels (the ones at the bottom of a Confluence page). Those can be filtered and searched more effectively
That said, we actually ran into this exact need and ended up building an app called Advanced Status Labels for Confluence. It lets you create pill-style status labels that are searchable, customizable, and you can even track them across pages with a search view. Bit more structured and scalable if you’re doing this a lot. Oh and it's completely free
Hope that helps someone down the line

Thanks for your replies @Tobias C_ and @Nikola Perisic . Is there a way to create filters within a page to display only certain sections?

I want to have all releases in a single document, some marked as "Live" and others as "Coming Soon"
