Template Default Choice?

I have a question related to page templates.



If a space has only one template, and the user enters via "Add" -> Page from template", I would like this template to be selected automatically. Currently the user has to select it although there is only one.

Has anyone spent a thought about this unnecessary click? Did anyone come up with a solution, e.g. a few lines of Javascript to set this button automatically?

It seems that we have a improvement open for this already: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-3697

It still not implemented unfortunately. I suggest to vote and watch to increase the chances.

Thanks for the link to the jira issue.

I realise this request is almost 5 years old now, while several major release have happened since then. Although 63 people have voted for it meanwhile (probably representing hundreds if not thousands of users), it's still not considered. Sad.

I did vote for it as you advised, but I feel it does not really increase the probability that it will be done eventually.
