The shortcut is corretly set as control+z (german lap top with qwertz keyboard), but using it in the confluence whiteboard does not undo my latest action.
I accidentally deleted a lot and cannot undo this.
The other shortcuts work in the confluence whiteboard (e.g. control+A to select all).
In other applications, the undo shortcut works as usual.
Is there any other way I can undo my latest actions?
Does anyone know a reason why the shortbut/ undo does not work?
I was able to reproduce that very simply. OP mentioned german keyboard, so I figured how to solve my case of Ctrl + Z not working completely in a whiteboard. To switch keyboard layout to english. It seems whiteboard does not recognize Ctrl + Z in any other layouts that is not english, and I'm not talking about QWERTY vs QWERTZ, in my case Russian or Czech would break it.
Literally ANY other software, Confluence text pages included, recognize Ctrl+Z regardless of layout used, otherwise it would render the whole suite useless and not worthy of acquiring licence. I would guess that whiteboard for some weird reason tries to detect not a button press, but letter Z input instead.
This is frankly ridicolous, its a basic foundation-level features that MUST be included and while searching online for this problem (how I found this topic) I found MANY other complaints about Ctrl+Z not working since 2017, are you kidding? Seems like a recurring issue.
I think I will need to make sure to manually save/ publish more often and make sure I do not refresh the page.

@Anja Beyerbach welcome to the Atlassian community
I was not able to recreate the issue. I was always able to roll back changes using the key combo you shared. The only thing I can think of is that you made the change and reloaded the page thus removing any previous versions. Have you checked the history to see if there is a version you could pull the deleted portions from?

@Brant Schroeder , thank you for your answer!
Yes, I think the issue was a combination of temporarily being disconnected and then reloading the page.
I was not able to use the undo - maybe becaue of being disconnected and after the refresh the history did not allow me anymore.
Is there any way I can "reconnect" or fix issues without reloading?
The board keeps diconnecting (showing as offline) even with a stable internet connection and when other confluence sites work without any issues.
Concerning the history, the versioning is very spotty, it only has versions from days back.

@Anja Beyerbach Is the disconnect happening in all browsers? I also agree that saving and publishing often is a good idea.
