My senior executive have asked that I switch off their email notifications.
The only reference I could find was an old one that is no longer valid.
I don't want to just turn off the watch function for these (4) users, I want to stop notifications altogether.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Kathryn.
Honestly, if I had that request, I would ask the local IT team, or the senior exec's PA to set up an auto-rule in whatever the email client is, or even the Exchange, if they wanted absolutely no emails coming through.
@Kathryn Reddie when you said "you already have the checkbox" -- do you mean button from No Email Storm, or are you referring to the default notify checkbox? Just double checking, as I found after getting No Email Storm installed that the complaints from people became a lot less RE noise.
But if someone came to me with this request, I wouldn't hack around in Confluence, I'd just get the messages intercepted
Thanks Thomas, that is exactly the advice I was after.
Re the checkbox, we don't have No Email Storm installed. I'll request that our Infrastructure team intercept them.
Thanks again,
Kathryn.

Hello Kathryn, Currently in Confluence you cannot just turn off email notifications for just some users. Although you can change their personal settings for notifications, if a plugin or some other mechanism sends an automated e-mail to that user, as long as it is valid, it will route to the configured destination. You can find more details on this post and this plugin might be helpful since you can block the email notifications sent to the mentioned users.

Thanks Sashin,
I've already disabled as many of the watches as I can for these users, and the No email storm is no longer relevant to us as we already have the checkbox to notify/not notify as standard confluence functionality.
Thanks anyway.
Regards,
Kathryn.
