Two Views of Spaces/Pages - How to get one set for all users?

I'm currently revising an internal wiki page for my sales team, but am learning that everyone does not have the same UI setup. Does anyone know how to control views so everybody is seeing our portal the same way? I would like it to default to #2 so everyone can see the space shortcuts.

Hi Andrew, 

In the first screenshot, the sidebar is collapsed. Please ask the users to press '[' button to toggle space sidebar view.

Alternatively, users can hover the mouse close to the sidebar so that they can see the '>' symbol to expand the space sidebar.
