Unable to download Atlassian companion app as it blocked by internal IT

Receive an error message to advise; 

'access to download this file type has been blocked'

How can I best resolve this?

Maybe internal IT can roll it out using the msi version of the companion app. Anyway, talk to your IT. Write a ticket.

Maybe I misunderstand question. Try ask access by internal IT department. I suppose they blocked it for security reason.
