Hi there
We have thousand of profile picture which we would like to upload as easy as possible. Is there any way to do that? Unfortunately, I did not find a solution yet. Remark: We know which picture belongs to which user.
Best regards,
Yanick
Hi Yanick,
Although there is no option in the interface to do a mass upload of profile photos, there is an API call that lets you upload profile pictures en masse, so I don't know why people aren't aware of it. I used a small python script to do so for our needs, but Davin Studer released a nice application that can handle the uploading. You can find the download here:

Information about how to use it is here:

Hey Yanick,
Confluence doesn't have that option. Only the users will be able to upload their own profile picture. We actually have an improvement ticket open:

Hi,
This feature is not available in JIRA.
All your users either sync through AD or LDAP so their profile pictures should be loaded from ase(AD or LDAP), unfortunately we do not store user pictures in AD and LDAP, so that won't work here.
Also this is something user should do to manage their profile, instead of Administrator to act on it.

Hi Ranganath
Thanks for your message. It is Confluence, not Jira. When you have to have migrate all users from another intranet-application (non-atlassian), you should be able to upload thousands of profile pictures as an administrator. In addition, we use the API to create, manage and delete the users.
Best regards,
Yanick
