Hello. When I upload an image from a link, it appears in the attachment list and it seems to take storage. Is there no way to use external images to avoid using storage?
Thanks.
@Keinart Lobre Welcome to the community.
Where is the image that you are trying to link to? You should not upload the image to the page; rather, you should simply add the link to the image (see https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-links-and-anchors/#Smart-Links for more information).
If you set the view option for the link to Embed, you should see the image on the page, and it should reflect any changes to the image in the linked location.
Yeah I see that just using the link seems to fix the issue, but it doesn't display as good for some images I'm afraid. It's just surprising that using images from outside places like imgur leads to Confluence uploading it to the server instead of just displaying it from imgur.

@Keinart Lobre here is a fast way to save storage. Attachment Manager by Easy Apps gives you a page tree of attachments. Then filter by 'not visible' or file size. Then it has a bulk delete option.
You need to save images in Confluence without a complex workaround, it has a lot of advantages, so it is more a matter of doing clean up to ensure that you do not have to upgrade because hit storage limits for old attachments.
It is a suite of tools to manage attachments.
search by page(s)
list of all attachments on a page
filter by attachment version
filter by if visible on a page
bulk download, delete, move
statistics
more
