Use JIRA popup bubble with selected text in Confluence to link only

I currently use the JIRA popup bubble that appears with selected Confluence text to create JIRA issues all the time. The uber cool thing about this is the automatic bi-directional link between the Confluence page (showing the JIRA issue key) and the link in the JIRA issue that will take you right to that spot.

What I'd like to also be able to do is, rather than only being able to create the issue, just create the link. I have many cases where I have content in Confluence that would be uber cool to link to a specific JIRA issue in exactly the same manner as when one creates the JIRA issue after a heap of JIRA issues have been created.

Is there a plugin that I haven't found or a technique that I can employ to do this?

Hi,

If you just copy-paste the JIRA-link into the Confluence-page it creates a beautiful link ;-) Just try it out and you'll see what I mean (when editing ánd when saved!)
