Use of template variable within SQL query macro

Aljoscha Zöller December 10, 2020

I want to implement a variable within a confluence template. How can I use the value of that variable in the Bob Swift sql query macro?

Thank you very much.

Hi @Aljoscha Zöller

We are from the Bobswift support team and we have created a support request https://bobswift.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/SUPPORT-5390 in our portal. Please access the Support request and once you signup, please let us know your username so that we can add yourself as the reporter of the support request.

Yes, it is possible, with the help of our apps Run Self-Service Reports for Confluence and 'SQL for Confluence (Pro Edition)' we can achieve this requirement.

Users can enter some values in a template and based on the values, we can run a SQL command to show the records from a table. For this, we have created a user form with 2 text fields (id, name). When a user gives proper values to id, the name then only we can see the corresponding record. Please see the below screenshot for the same.

Thanks,
