If I log on as the local admin for Confluence I can go to User Directories > Active Directory and hit Edit. If I log on as an AD user who is also in the confluence-administrators group I do not have that option.

I thought any user in that groups could edit the AD LDAP sync. Is that not the case?

Hi, this is a limit, if you're logged on as a user in that directory you cannot edit it.  You will need to use a different directory user account or the admin account.

"You cannot edit, disable or remove the directory your user belongs to. This precaution is designed to prevent administrators from locking themselves out of the application by changing the directory configuration in a way that prevents them logging in or removes their administration permissions."
