We are trying to test SSO options for internal user on our server instance of confluence.

To achieve this we are using the following :

SAML 2.0 Single Sign-On for Confluence

by Bitium, Inc

Some configuration in the IdP have locked all the users out and we can not login(Not even Admin).

Kindly suggest us to remove this app and enable users to login. Kindly suggest a solution which will save us from reinstalling the server from start. Database query is also an option if you can suggest us to remove this app from Database(MySql) or back end.

Looking for a quick resolution.

Regards,

Rohan

Hi Rohan,

full dislcosure, I work for resolution and we have our own SAML Single Sign On App in the Marketplace.

I can't help you too much with the actual Bitium Plugin, bit we habe a Knowledge Base Article on how to Start your Confluence with a certain Plugin disabled:

https://wiki.resolution.de/display/SSSO/Application+startup+issue+-+Disable+SSO+Plugin

If you replace our addon Key with the one from Bitium, so that the command line would read:

<installation-directory>/bin/start-confluence.sh --disable-addons=com.bitium.confluence.SAML2Plugin

That should disable the Bitium Plugin on startup of Confluence - which should allow you to login via the normal Username/Password Prompt.

Also the Bitium Plugin hasn't been updated in a long time to my knowledge (last supported Confluence says 6.4.3) - so make sure the plugin is actually compatible with your version. Furthermore consider what it means to your upgrade strategy in the future.

Cheers,
Christian
