We have started using JIRA and Confluence in cloud accounts. I do not use any LDAP and entered all uses manually.
Except for my self, I cannot see any users in the Confluence People directory. I have marked them as JIRA and Confluence users and They all show as user in the Application Access list for JIra and Confluence. Yet none show up in the Confluence Peoples directory. What am I doing wrong?
This is the reply from tech support and it appears to work.:
Hi Doug,
Unfortunately this is a small bug that happens when setting am instance up.
The workaround for it is simply accessing the missing user profile. The easier way to do that would be each user on his first login, access their own profile, in order to populate the People Directory.
Could you perform a test to see how it goes?
Kind regards,
Paulo.
Doug -
JIRA and Confluence maintain their own user lists. On the Admin page for Confluence, scroll down to the Administration section and select Content Indexing.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I am not seeing that option.
I go to my Confluence instance. In the upper right, I go to settings, Confluence Administration-General Configuration and that opens up the Confluence Admin page. at the bottom left, the Administration section has
Back Up Manager
Import Spaces
Team Calendars
Application Links
Application Navigator.
I do not see any option to re-index.

Thanks. I re-indexed JIRA to no success. Is re-indexing JIRA the same as Confluence? If not, how do you re-index Confluence as I cannot find that option anywhere.
Thanks

In our on-prem instance, I had to re-index Confluence and they showed up.
