Users unable to copy and paste images in Confluence after upgrade

Oscar Yeung March 12, 2020

Hello, recently we upgraded our Confluence to be version 7.1.2. The upgrade appeared to have gone fine however some users are unable to copy and paste images into Confluence. Sometimes nothing happens when an image is pasted or a broken image is shown. After saving the document, the image shows up fine strangely enough. This is causing quite a headache when it comes to editing how a page looks as you can imagine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oscar,

Have you tried to attach the image instead?

It used to work via copy and paste plus copying and pasting is the same as attaching.

Oscar,

Attaching works differently. Your attached images can be viewed/found under attachments as shown in the image.

The image that is being copy pasted was already technically uploaded to the Confluence page as an attachment. The image was not copied from some outside source and then into the Confluence editor, which is what I think you are assuming
