Users with Edit privileges granted via Page Restrictions dont see edit page

My 'Space' has 'read & comment' privileges to everyone and 'full privileges' to my-group users.    

I have created a new page, and restricted privileges as follows

• Editing Restricted
• View to Everyone
• Edit to my-group
• Edit to myself (added by default)
• Edit to JohnDoe (not a member of my-group)

However, when JohnDoe accesses the page,  Confluence does not show the 'edit' button

If "John Doe" doesn't have edit permission in space he cannot view the edit button for the pages even if you provide page restriction  permission . Page restrictions is for the particular pages if they don't have space level permission page restrictions will not work.Provide John Doe edit permission in the space then he will be able to view edit button for the pages.

Hi @Peruri Rama Mohan Rao, Welcome the community.

Page restrictions don't override a person's space permission. Seems 'JohnDoe' does not have adequate space permissions to edit the page. Please check.
