Using Confluence 3.2, how do you change the "Creator" of a Space

We are in a position where an employee has left and we need to change the ownership of one of our public spaces.

I, as the System and Confluence Admin, can't for the life of me find the ability to change characteristics of a Space owned by someone else.

Hello David,

Actually we don't have a native option to perform this kind of task in the Confluence's User Interface, so I would like to suggest you some approaches in order to help you with this question. To achieve this goal of change the creator of a space you could follow one of these approaches:

* If you're able to perform an upgrade into your Confluence to a more recent version, you could use the Copy Space plugin to copy each of the spaces to a new space key, so by this way the user who copies the space becomes the new creator of the space. Just a side note, this would also change the URL of all the pages in the space. More information about the plugin can be found here:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.confluence.plugin.copyspace

* Or another option would be to add a new space, then move all the pages from the space into the new space created, in this option Confluence will automatically fix all internal links and so they'll point to the new space. This will also offer people a redirect if they send a request to the original URL.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

LJ.
