Using personal spaces as employee directory

Hello all, I would like to use our personal spaces overview of each team member as an employee directory. I have created team pages where each team member's profile detail is listed using the User Profile macro. But when you select that you are directed to the person's profile and not to their personal space. 

Even from there, it is really hard to navigate to a team member's personal space. How could I achieve this, without having to manually create links to each individual personal space overview?

Let me start by asking what the goal is you are trying to achieve?

If it's a people directory you are after, personal spaces are probably not the best way to implement it. As you mentioned, they are not always linked from the profile. They also might not contain the information you are after. 

Have you had a look at Atlas yet? It contains some directory features already and it looks like the team is building out more capabilities.

Basically, we have one single space where each team has a separate section in the page tree. In their section, one of the pages has a team page where we add their profile so that others can see who is in that team. But when you click on that you're taken to the user's profile and not to their personal space. 

I know we can search for people in the "People" selector at the top of the screen, but this also shows their profile and not the overview of their personal space. Here too, it's difficult to find the individual's space, without using the "Spaces" selector.  

So perhaps another way of asking the question is: What is the quickest way to link to a user's overview page in their personal space? 

I will take a look at Atlas, thanks for the referral.

Unfortunately there is no easy out of the box way to create the links. There is an open feature requests for making customisations to the user profile that you can find here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-5286

However, that doesn't seem to be a priority for the team at this stage. There are also a couple of user profile apps in the marketplace if you want to explore that route. 

With that being said, I would recommend exploring the teams feature in Atlas. It might do a bunch of the things you are are looking to solve in Confluence pages right now.
