I just noticed that if I just drag and drop a movie (mp4 format) into a Confluence page, then it works just fine... Until I edit the page.
Once I edit the page, the quality of the movie turn to crap. Is this because it does not start to render from the upload right away, or is it a bug in Confluence?
That’s frustrating, Jimi. It may be that Confluence is compressing the video once the page is edited, which would explain the drop in quality. For better results, you might try a video editing tool first or host the video externally and embed it to keep the resolution intact.
Does the quality only degrade when you are editing the page, or does it stay degraded even after the page is published?

It stays.
It seems that something in Confluence render videos to reduce size somehow...

Very strange - I might suggest opening a ticket with Atlassian since you have a standard plan. https://support.atlassian.com/
