We use Confluence Table Filter and Charts.

This does not sum up the table cell values. But you have the opportunity to create a pivot table and sum up with this. Also this is a nice plugin for displaying charts createt out of the table.

The question was asked before in this thread with multiple plugin suggestions:

The quick answer is NO. You cannot add sums to a provided table without getting add-ons from the Market Place.

Hi @shetty

Table Filter macro has an option to output total column / row.

It is possible to display the whole table with totals on another page only in the current version of Table Filter and Charts app. But there will appear a new Table Transformer macro that will allow to do this in the upcoming version 5.0. I'll post here later how to do this.

In general every team member on my team and our project managers are frustrated by the lack of spreadsheet like behavior in Confluence tables. One of the items I keep hearing about is project managers (PMs) and managers in general would like to track things in a spreadsheet.  They like jira but feel the need to have their own spreadsheet as well.  This is especially necessary as some managers of managers require such spreadsheets.

I've endeavored to create some confluence tables that include jira items and yet allow the PMs to track other items.  However, tables in confluence are still very focused on showing static items, items from other pages, or data from jira; these tables are not good and combining table data and table calculations (other than column or row totals).

Is there an ability to mix jira macros and formulas in Confluence tables that act more like spreadsheets?  Consider the table line below:

spreadsheet+jira.png

I'm asking for a story like this:

As A: Project Manager

I Want: A Confluence table that combines my calculations and status of Jira issues (i.e a Confluence Spreadsheet).

So That: I can save time and reduce complexity by doing my own calculations in a single spot rather than using a mix Atlassian tools, spreadsheet tools..

Hi Scott,

You can wrap this table with the Tabe Transformer macro to add calculated columns. The SQL query will be similar to this one:

SELECT *, T1.'Column C' * T1.'Column D' * T1.'Column E' AS 'My result' FROM T1

where 'Column C / D / E' is the actual column name in your table.
