This space has turned into a nightmare. The search feature no longer makes sense because outdated pages show up in results. We have thousands of pages to sift through...
We want to start over but there are still pages that are relevant and helpful. Does anyone have suggestions on what we can do? Can we archive spaces? Each department has their own "space." If we started over would the old space content still show up in Search?
Under space admin you can mark a space as an archived space and it will cease to show up in search results. You could then create a new space and start moving over the useful documents.
Hi Kristin,
Pages in the space trash will still show in search results. Clearing this will remove them from the searches. You can also run a content index to rebuild the searches in the admin section.

Trashed pages showing up in the search index was a bug (CONFSERVER-40833) and has been rectified in 6.7.0.
