What information can I add to the space to enhance search capabilities.
EG hastags, labels, keywords
With thanks

Greetings!
You can classify Spaces into categories, but this basically just helps you filter spaces when looking at the space directory.
On individual pages, you can use labels which are treated specially in search. There are special macros for displaying page results that match certain labels (either confined to a particular space or not) and you can use AND/OR filters with labels in the regular search.
Just the regular content search does a great job at finding what you need usually, but the options to filter by label help you scope things down if you have a lot of content.
If you're interested in managing content in Confluence and have time available, you might consider taking a free training course from Atlassian. The Confluence Content Management webinar teaches you how to organize content in Confluence "the Atlassian way" and improve how users can search for content. The course and homework run about two hours and are completely free.
Cheers,
Daniel
