While working in Jira, it would be handy to refer to a page in Confluence, or even to create a new page if necessary regarding the task.
When JIRA 5 is released in the first quarter of 2012 it will have a new feature called Remote Issue Links. Any Confluence page, from a Confluence instance connected via Application Links, that has a JIRA issue linked/embedded on it will be automatically linked to the JIRA issue. You can also create links to Confluence pages from JIRA issues manually. See: https://skitch.com/mattnhodges/gixri/link-atlassian-jira-extranet-special-projects
