I am evaluating Confluence/Team Calendars to add on top of my JIRA subscription. What I need from Confluence/Team Calendars is the ability to track our consulting projects (and the data, files, meetings notes, etc) behind each project. We also need the ability to track our events from a calendar view which is why I am evaluating Team Calendars. My question is, do you have to manually manage all your events inside of Team Calendars or can you sync certain calendars with say your personal Outlook or Gmail Calendar so that if I have a new meeting invite or whatever, it autopopulates Confluence
Hi Rob,
You certainly can sync your Google calendar to Team Calendar. This is done by getting the private address of the calendar and exporting in 'ics' format. Once you have the 'ics' link just open you Team Calendars >> 'Add Calendar' >> 'Subscribe by URL' and reuse the 'ics' link within the URL field.
There is also a great guide with examples of this process available here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/TEAMCAL/Subscribing+to+Google+Calendars+From+Confluence
Cheers,
Paul

That's right Rob, although if you have just added an event into your google calendar you may have to perform the refresh on your team calendar: Calendar drop down, then 'Refresh'.

Hi guys, this may be a silly question, but I'm looking for the answer to the reverse process. Is there a way to sync a Confluence calendar with my calendar, so that every time the Confluence calendar updates, it puts it on mine? I do not want my calendar, however, to sync with Confluence (that is to say that I don't want my events on my calendar to show up in Confluence).
Thanks!
