We have lunch and learn sessions at our company and record the video from these sessions. Previously, we would use the multimedia macro to embed the video. This is broken now and slated for deprecation.

Is there an alternative to the macro or some other process to embed video in a page?

Hi James,

If your content is online you can use the Widget Connector Macro to embed it directly on your page.  If not, then you can easily upload the file on the page and let users download it if the Multimedia macro stops working.

Good luck!

You can just drag and drop the multimedia file into your page and it should automatically create a player if yourvideo is a mp4 file.

But you can also still use the multimedia macro in version 6.13 so if you gave snother formst feel free to use it.

In the Confluence administration area you can see all used macris and the pages where they appear. So if in tge future the macro isn't working anymoe it is not hard to replace them with an alternative.

With kind regards

Mario
