When I purchase a confluence licence do I need to renew it every Year

I used confluence for a personal account  to store what I learn on assignments. Do I need to keep renewing the license to use the confluence server or can I keep using the server.

You can continue using the Confluence server even after the license expires. Renewing a license helps you in getting product upgrades, updates, patches, Atlassian support, etc. Without renewing, you'll be on your own.
