When trying to "Edit" an attached file, the "Edit With" function sits and spins and doesn't load

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I have tried in Explorer/Edge and Firefox to bring up an attached file and edit it. When I select "Edit file" option on the image of the attachment, that brings up the file, but the "Edit With" button does not load any options and just provides a spinning/loading circle. I have tried with Word and Excel documents that have been attached in projects I have access to. The one below is a file I myself loaded initially.
