Guessing from your description of the issue, I think you're referring to this bug, CONFCLOUD-69914. If that's correct I'm afraid I don't have very good news about a possible timing. It's currently on their Long Term Backlog which usually means it's not going to be picked up/fixed any time soon.
As noted by eric, one of the Confluence developers, in a comment:
"We are constrained by the limited resources and man power that we have. Our team receive tickets and feedback from customers from all over the world every single day. Saying yes to fix one issues mean we will not be able to fix issues from other customer. We decide to assign a priority number to each ticket where ticket has more customers subscribe to receive higher priority than the others."
I would advise you to click on the This affects my team link at the right side of the screen within the ticket. The more teams are affected the bigger the chance that the ticket gets the necessary priority.
