Is it true that anonymous users within my organization can view Confluence pages without needing their own Confluence licenses? I have told my boss this on multiple occasions, but he doesn't seem to believe me. We've had this discussion so many times now that I'm starting to doubt it myself. So... I wanted to see if I could get a definitive answer from someone who knows.
Is there any one page I can point him to?
https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/pricing answers the question "What is a Confluence user?" but it doesn't answer the question "What is an anonymous user?" And it DOESN'T specifically say whether anonymous users need licenses.
Thank you!
Hi Andrea,
You are correct! If your boss doesn't believe it, link him to Confluence: Read-only access and licensing:
Confluence also offers "anonymous access" which means the site visitor does not log in and thus does not need to be licensed...
Cheers,
Ann
