Confluence users,
Issue: I am trying to upload a PDF file to a Confluence page using the Attachments macro. This page has multiple sections in it. When I upload the file, it duplicates itself in each section. I have tried labeling each macro, specific to the section it's in, but that doesn't seem to be helping. I have also tried changing the parameters of the macros, making it distinct to the section it's in, but that's not helping either.
Has anyone run into this roadblock? Does anyone have any recommendations?
End goal: Have the ability to drop .pdf, .ai, .indd files into a section without duplicating and displaying in every section with the attachments macro.
Thank you!
Hi Lauren,
The attachments macro will pull all attachments on the page, unless filtered in the macro. It sounds like you have a new macro under each section which is why they’re being duplicated. You should be able to add labels to your attachment and then use the *Attachments* macro to filter out which attachments are displayed by adding the label for the attachments you want in that section.
It sounds like you’ve tried this and it hasn’t worked. I’m not quite sure why based on the information provided.
That said, you could avoid using the attachments macro entirely and achieve your stated end goal by doing the following:
I hope that helps get you to your end goal!
Rache
Rachel,
Thank you for this information. It turns out that the software Version I was running (6.0) did not support the way I needed to use the Attachments macro. I have recently updated to Version 6.10 and this functionality works great.
Thank you for responding! End goal: conquered.
Lauren
