Unfortunately I cannot provide a screenshot as this is internal material. But basically, the macro produces a list that looks like this.

Bar
Bar
Baz
qux
qux
quux

This behavior is not helpful if you set the macro to design 'sidebar' and don't show profile pictures.
Is there a way to show each page only once in the list?
When you save a page, a new version is created and Recently Updated macro tracks all of them separately (content, attachments, comments, everything!). So when you attach 2 files, It shows the page title twice.
Edit the macro and change Content Types to "page".
or use Activity Stream, and try using CQL and customize it.
