I ran the uninstaller of confluence server 6.5.2 and the confluence workfolder is empty now. The service was stopped beforer and there is no tomcat on the VM anywhere.
Why is the Atlassian Confluence.0 Confluence 050518xxxxx service listed in Windows services. I took a snapshot before uninstalling, reverted it an tried again. The same result.
The uninstaller didn't remove the service from Windows services. This seems to be a bug anywhere in the registry by Atlassian.
This bug blocks me to install Confluence 6.12 running as a service again. The installer aborted due to already installed Confluence service. And it's true the service entry is there but there is no reference anymore to the original folder.
If I try to start this 'fake' service the error message appears. The location of this service is gone - or similar.
