confluence 3.4.9 running on 32 bits or 64 bits?

Hello,

We have Confluence 3.4.9 (confluence-3.4.9-std.tar.gz) running on Solaris 10. I'd like to know if it is 32 bits or 64 bits.

if it is 32 bits, could we change setting to increase it to 64 bits so to allow us to increase jvm memory size?

Hi there,

If you're on a 64bit Operating System and have a 64bit Java, you should be enable to increase the Java Memory already.

On your Confluence logs you'll be able to check the JVM configuration. Take a look there to make sure that you're running a JDK or JRE 1.6.0_4+ 64 bits.

In case you're running 32 bits for all (Tomcat, JDK, etc) , a good approach is to generate a XML backup and import it back in a brand new Confluence (same version as the old one).

The system information page should tell you that.

If it is 32 bit, then yes, you can change it to 64, but you probably want to re-install a new copy (and point it at your current data - the database won't care if you update to 64 bit)
