Hi
The support platforms for confluence 5.7.x have the java requirement as "1.7, 1.8 (JRE only)". Does this mean JDK isn't supported or that only the JRE is needed to run?
We are looking to upgrade to 5.7.x, but the server also runs crowd, which does require JDK.
thanks
Hey David,
In this case I guess you could use different JDK versions to each product. Our installer comes with a bundled JAVA version, for instance: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Installing+Java+for+Confluence
I hope it helps.
Eduardo
Hi David,
That's correct JDK 1.8 isn't supported and only JRE 1.8 is supported.
You can have the JDK 1.7 in Confluence and Crowd. Both of them works with JDK 1.7.
Cheers,
WZ

Using 1.7 leads to another conflict. The server is also running fisheye, which has 1.7 marked as depreciated.
