confluence: After 3.1 to 4.2.1 upgrade: Large documents have large "wiki markup" section, document did not migrate

Migrated from 3.1 to 3.5 to 4.2.1 today

What do I do about large docs that do not migrate to new editor?

Large chunks of wiki markup....

The solution is here:

Re attempt migration... failing that, search the wiki code for the { character and clean it up, then it saves properly to v4 format.
