Hi
I want to use an inbound mail box for a space to populate sections of pages, populate notifications and possibly appear in blogs (it would be nice but not essential if there were some filtering (based on date?) or interactive selection capability too).
But it seems that the only way to view the mails is to go via Space Admin (and needing Admin priveleges) and navigate the Admin page to find the Mail tab...
With Confluence's existing functionality (including methods via the Remote API), there isn't a way to cross polinate your mail contents like that. The Mail Archive feature is geared toward storing conversations that happen in email relating to a project in a Confluence space. The mail content and attachments are searchable to anyone with access to the space using the normal search feature in Confluence, and can be viewed from Browse > Mail (admin is not actually required). Users just need the Can Use global permission, and the View space permission to access Mail archives.
It may be possible within a plugin, however, and perhaps another Answers denizen will have more to say on that matter.
There isnt even a way to add a label to the emails ? at least then we could use some macros to list them on pages

We have an open feature request to that end, but current do not have the functionality built into Confluence. The mail archive feature is a rather simplistic feature that currently just stores mail for viewing and indexes it for search. Beyond those functions, it currently doesn't do much else. It's the same situation as the accepted answer in that it would have to be added via a plugin to gain the feature.
Here's the aforementioned feature request:
It's an old one, but even old ones can still be implemented with enough votes, so be sure to add yours.
