edit word document direct in confluence

Eka May 11, 2014

Hello together,

I'm using confluence 3.5.5

Is it possible to edit a word document direct in confluence, over the confluence editor and not over a redirection to ms office?

Best Regards

There is no way to edit a Word document in Confluence directly. The only thing that is available is the Office Connector plugin which will open Office and when you save it will push the changes into the wiki. I believe that is what you mean by "redirection to ms office".

Confluence is not Word and could never be Word. The best thing for editing Word documents is Word. You can render Word documents out to a page and even save a page to Word format but for editing Word files you need to use Word.

Hello Eka,

you can install Office Connector plugin https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.confluence.extra.officeconnector

It allows to edit office documents in Confluence.

Hope this helps,

Fabio
