editing comments in confluence

We have users who have watches on pages complained to me that when user re-edited comments they made. It does not send an email to notify the watcher/s that the updated was made on the page.

According to my testing, this is by design. I was hoping that someone could confirm this and if they know a workaround.

Thank you for advice

"Subscribed to daily updates" is not an option as we disabled the plugin so people would not get spammed on a daily basis with what people are doing on the Wiki Server. 

Subscribed to network is not a good solution due to the fact that the owner of the space would have to follow everybody just to get a notification when a comment has been modified.

The space owner wants/need to know that a user has modified a comment so they can act on it in a quick manner.

All the notifications work for everything except when a user modified a comment they made earlier.

FYI Does not work if you follow the user. Making a comment works, modifying a comment does not.

Hey,

According to Email Notifications guide, they should get notifications on add, edited or deleted comments in they are Subscribed to daily updates or Subscribed to network.

• Pages being added, edited, or deleted.

• Blog posts being added, edited, or deleted.

• Comments being added, edited, or deleted.

Could you test that and confirm?
