horizontal line does not appear below tables

I cannot insert a horizontal line immediately below my table

Currently I have the layout of my page as

Table border

------

text

I have since decided to replace the dashes with the horizontal line

BUT when I delete the dash line and attempt to insert the horizontal line

nothing happens.

Eventually  I can insert a horizontal line, but it depends on the number of blank lines below the table.

I continue to get dismayed at the lack of ease of use in creating pages and layouts in Confluence and currently Tables in Confluence seem to be the current bane of my ire.

Hopefully someone in Atlassian monitors these forums and offer a solution

Don't forget, when you delete a blank row above an H2 text line, the H2 text changes to paragraph. Formatting is not the simplest process in this product.

It does not seem to be limited to just H2 level formats, it seems to be any number of different formats.

But my complaint is that it should not matter what the format is, when I insert something it should just be visible, not some imaginary line that appears based upon some complex situation.

My apologies, but along with any number of features, the horizontal line is poorly implemented.

I will have to just accept how it is because I have learned that changes are unlikely, unless there is a 3rd party that is able to solve the issue for the community.
