how do i save changes after sorting pages alphabetically?

This is still an issue for us as well. There doesn't seem to be any save option anywhere and the sort never takes effect in reality.
Has anyone found a reason for this?

I'm having this same problem. I understand that the alpha-sort is automatic, and not something that necessarily needs to be "saved", but the alpha-sort is not taking effect. It's worked for other sets of pages, but for this particular set, it's non-functional.

I've removed any restricted pages, thinking that would do the trick, but unfortunately that did not work.

Are you using the page hierarchy screen to move pages around in a space?
