how to build a public documentation library for customers?

Hi there,

We are looking for a tool to build a public technical documentation library for our customers from where anyone can view and download the files.

We have found some nice examples on Atlassian website like: https://docops.ca.com/home, and we are really interested in it.

We have just tried creating pages using Confluence, but did not figure out how to use it to create a customized documentation library on our website matching all the brand elements. 

Does anyone have experience on that? or is there any tutorials about it?

I’m Shannon from K15t, the vendors of the Scroll Viewport app that Adri shared above. I wanted to share a quick update about Scroll Viewport and also suggest an alternative solution if you’re working with Confluence Cloud. 

We recently released a new Scroll Viewport theme that you can configure quickly and easily without writing any code or going through the ‘big configuration part’ that Adri referred to. We use the theme ourselves for our K15t help center, so you can have a look at a live example (https://help.k15t.com/) to see what’s possible with the setup.

As Scroll Viewport is only available for Server and Data Center, you might want to take a look at Scroll Documents which is also available on Confluence Cloud. The customization aspect isn’t quite as robust as Viewport, but you’re able to create a public documentation library and maintain versions of your documentation over each release. It also integrates with Scroll PDF and Word Exporter for when your customers need to download your files. Here’s a blog post that outlines this solution on Cloud.

Welcome to this community :)

The example that is you referring to, use the app Scroll Viewport.

This app requires a big configuration part to get Confluence pages to look like that.
