how to delete a user

Mary Cook June 18, 2015

I am having troubles deleting a user account (former employee) as this user has edited some pages. Despite editing those pages, the system still tells me I can't because she has edited pages within our spaces. Is there a way to globally "scrub" this? Must I delete a user to free up a license for a new employee?

Hello Mary,

Unfortunately if a User has created or modified content, they cannot be deleted.  Instead, you would need to de-activate the user to free up their license:

To deactivate a user:

  1. Go to  > User management

  2. On the Users screen, select the user you want to deactivate to open the user details
  3. On the user details screens, select Deactivate
