increase the number of rows displayed in an embedded database

Wibberg, Peter March 19, 2025

How is it possible to increase the number of rows displayed in an embedded database so that it is not necessary to scroll so often and a large proportion is manageable? Currently, only a maximum of 8 rows of the database are displayed, although the number of database entries is much larger?

Hi @Wibberg, Peter

Indeed, I don't think it is possible to extend the frame displaying a part of the database recordset.
The scroll in the database view allows you to access to the other entries, but you have no clear information that you have more content below if you scroll...

To inform the viewers that you have more entries than those displayed, you can display the "count entries" at the bottom and display the row number on the left side of the database.

Yesterday I asked Copilot and got this answer:

To increase the number of displayed rows of an embedded database in Confluence Cloud, you can adjust the view of the database. Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Open the database: Go to the page where the database is embedded and open it in edit mode.
  2. Adjust the view: Look for the option to adjust the view of the database. This might be found under "Layouts and Options" or similar settings.
  3. Change the number of rows: In the view settings, you should have the option to increase the number of displayed rows. This could be done by adjusting the page size or changing the view from "Table" to another view like "Card" or "Board".

If you can't find these options, it might be helpful to consult Atlassian's documentation or search the Atlassian Community for specific instructions.

but i don't found any menu part like "Layouts and Options"?
