When using databases, one of the most important use cases is to have entries classified via the "tag" field. To avoid typos etc., it is very useful to turn off the "allow tag creation" check box. Apparently though, the check box has been lost between some UI updates?
I'm attaching a screenshot where the checkbox is missing.
Here is a screenshot from a totally unrelated question showing how the checkbox used to appear: Open Screenshot
Here is a still-quite-young bug ticket that might or might not be related.
Note: I am using the new navigation already, also enabled the public betas for content layout and live docs. It also happens with the old navigation turned on (just for me as admin, globally new navigation is activated).
Any ideas?
I don't think that Jira issue is related,. I believe Atlassian has moved the feature to disallow tag creation. I took a quick look to see where they have tucked it away, but no luck. I'm sure once we find it, it will be obvious, but till now it's another annoying part of the new navigation rollout.
thanks, it's still kinda good to know you didn't find it either. I couldn't imagine any reason to remove the feature so let's hope its just moved or someone commented out the tick box by accident ;-)
