Hi there,
we have a 3rd-party enterprise-search in our company.
This is an own server and own software.
There are connectors for some applications, so that the search-engine can index the application.
For some connectors, the "index-user" needs to be system-administrator.
For Confluence he also needs to be a member of "confluence-administrators" which grants him "more permissions as "Confluence-Administrator".
Now we have a little compliance/security problem.
On one hand, we don't want do grant that user system-admin permission and on the other hand we want to index confluence.
Is there any way to get "read-only-Confluence-Administrator" ?
Kind regards
André
Hi Steve,
thanks for your answer.
I think the connector, or better our 3rd party search-enginge is just crawling. Don't know hot to feed that system from Confluence.
Getting articles by rss or whatever doesn't seem to be enough. The search also crawls for permissions etc...
I also created a support request at atlassian but i got the same answer :-)
I will gave all those infos to our management/security-board. Now its their turn :-)
Kind regards
André
