A cloud backup was restored to the Dev instance and over wrote all information. Confluence is now running on one node and the local home and installation directories one the 2 nodes are not the same. What is the best way to fix this?
Since this occurred the configuration settings were lost on the node the restore was completed on. If the local home and installation directories are copied from node 2 to node 1 would that restore the configuration settings? What is the impact of doing this? Or, should the local home and installation directories from node 1 be copied over to node 2 and we would have to go through the configuration setting to connect the 2 nodes again? We can access Confluence on the one node but there are issues with some of the config settings with LDAP, the connection to the second node, marketplace won't connect, UPM issues, etc.
Hello Beth,
When you say cloud backup was restored to the dev and overwrote all the information.
Does this mean you had done the migration and the Datacenter two nodes were up?
According to migration documentation below When migrating to Server (on-prem), we would recommend preparing your architecture according to Data Centers setup but only set up a single server (i.e. only one application node) to start:
Start confluence on node one and then add more node by copying installation/localhome from node 1 to node 2
If the file path of the local home directory is not the same on nodes 1 and 2 you'll need to update the <installation directory>/confluence/WEB-INF/classes/confluence-init.properties
file on node 2 to point to the correct location.

For current situation it is possible the copying the configuration from node 1 (working node) to node 2 be the solution
Hope this helps
