sql-query dataSource not found

Gerri Urban July 3, 2012

Hello all -

This is driving me crazy. i'm trying to setup some SQL queries to find out how many attachments I have on my wiki and it just isn't working. I have tried the follwing:

{sql-query:datasource=JDBC/confluence}

{sql-query:datasource=mysql:jdbc/confluence}

I get sql: dataSource: Confluence not found.

if I do: {sql-query:datasource=confluence}

I get: org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Could not create connection to database server. Attempted reconnect 3 times. Giving up.)

Pretty standard confluence install (on Windows 2003, MySQL installed on the same server, JDBC connector- wiki is running fine with no configuration changes) but these queries just won't work.

not sure what to try next - I've searched the documents out there and tried all that I have found and I can't seem to figure out just what I am missing.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Lirria

Have you looked at SQL plugin datasource configuration ? If that doesn't help, create an issue (issue tab from that page) and attach your server.xml (where you configured your datasource) and the wiki markup you are using.

thanks Bob! I had tried that and it didn't help - I just posted the issue. I'm sure it's a config issue and I just can't see the error.
